Game 1 of the Second Round of the NBA Western Conference playoffs was Sunday. The Golden State Warriors came out on top over the Houston Rockets 104-100. Can the Rockets finally dethrone their formidable rival in the Western Conference? Obviously that remains to be seen, but if Game 1 is any indication of the dog fight to come, we’ve got a good one on our hands.
This should be their year. The Rockets will take down the Warriors in 7. They would have taken them down last year if it wasn’t for Chris Paul having to exit the series prematurely due to injury. Should the Rockets remain healthy, there can be no doubt that they will be in the Western Conference Finals. We need the Rockets to advance as it would create more parody in competition in the NBA Playoffs. We do not want to see the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals again, much less the NBA Finals. Their time in the spotlight is over. Go Rockets!
