No. You’re not dreaming, dead, or high. The headline above is very true. At a time in this nation’s history when the present partisan divide is more palpable than it’s ever been, we actually have some congressmen and women who are willing to work together to get things done for the American people. I applaud Senator Cruz as well as Representative Ocasio-Cortez in their endeavor to make a deal so as to get something done that is beneficial for this country and its people.
So how did AOC and Cruz get together on this? It appears that it happened via Twitter. We know social media to be a double edged sword, wielding both positive as well as negative attributes. I think this shows The positive that can potentially come from social media. Both Senator Cruz and AOC have pledged their support to work with one another so as to eliminate the possibility for former lawmakers to register as lobbyists once they have left the Congress.
Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff, and Elijah Cummings: it would do you well to follow in the footsteps of your colleague AOC. While you obsess over impeachment, she works to move forward for the American people. Now I know AOC is more or less a partisan hack, but I appreciate her willingness to do something most democrats in the House would never do. Republicans and democrats can still find common ground despite the partisan rancor that exists on Capitol Hill. This is good for America!
