It’s like my doctor has said to me before, “You surely didn’t gain it all over night. You cannot expect to be able to lose it overnight.”
So many people around the world are blessed to be able extend their longevity in life due to medical advances in weight loss procedures that have relatively quick and successful results. Gastric bypass surgery, for instance, has saved thousands of lives the world over. It’s important to understand that many climb to a morbidly obese weight that is almost relatively impossible for them to reduce. This is why medical advances in weight loss procedures has been a wonderful blessing for so many.
We’ve been able to identify three major steps to take in order to lose weight:
1) Be active. Try to exercise for at least 20 to 30 minutes on a daily basis. Patiently work toward short term weight loss goals incrementally by using the confidence gained by satisfying one short term goal as fuel for doing the same for the next.
2) Avoid consumption of processed foods, which specifically contain artificial ingredients and unhealthy preservatives. Eliminate bad carbohydrates from your diet as much as possible. Throughout your first two weeks try not to surpass 20g of bad carbs on a daily basis. It will help throw your body into ketosis more quickly. Thereafter try to hold your daily bad carb intake to under 50g. Your intake of good carbs need not be worried about. They are healthy for you. Good carbs come mainly from fruits and vegetables.
3) Be inspired. Lose weight in a group to hold each other accountable. Let those in your group who achieve early success inspire you. Aspire to work hard, predicting that later you will be able to shout from the mountaintop, “Wow look at us!” Millions have gone before you on weight loss journeys and have achieved success. Look to them. They are a constant reminder that your struggles are not in vain.
