George Papadopoulos | Beth Tacerly
George Papadopoulos, a Trump Campaign adviser, was set up by the the US Government in London.
The New York Times was always trying to get ahead of this Papadopoulos story to lessen the blow when it was all made public. Yesterday, it was all made public. There exists substantial evidence that points to the fact that George Papadopoulos was nothing more than a pawn of investigators. In other words the idea was to direct American and/or other foreign intelligence personnel to converse with Papadopoulos in London and record the conversations so as to obtain more probable cause for spying on the Trump campaign. Scary! Are we at a point now where the US intelligence community works to extract information from American citizens without a warrant and/or substantial probable cause?
The New York Times, a liberal rag, knew exactly what was coming. It was well aware of the fact that the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, Michael Horowitz, was gearing up to release his report on FISA abuse and FBI surveillance wrongdoing. Couple this with the president’s declassification of the problematic warrants and FBI 302 interview notes, and the puzzle of criminality is complete. These criminals are being exposed, and they are going to pay for what they have done. They will be indicted.
DOJ sources tell us that a grand jury has been convened by US Attorney John Durham. He has been tasked by Attorney General William Barr to lead the criminal investigation into the Russia Hoax. George Papadopoulos, a Trump Campaign foreign policy adviser, was spied on by FBI informants Stefan Halper, Josef Mifsud, Azra Turk, and Alexander Downer while overseas. These people were making an attempt to entrap Papadopoulos by offering him opportunities to meet with Russian officials. Papadopoulos refused, but that exculpatory evidence was never used to shut down the investigation. Instead, the FBI filed an application for a FISA warrant (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) to spy on another Trump foreign policy adviser, Carter Page. That warrant application was rejected by the FISA court. The subsequent application that was submitted by the FBI was approved. Furthermore, it was renewed three times.
Democrats and their media butt buddies claim that it was the spying on George Papadopoulos that gave them the probable cause they needed to seek a FISA warrant. How can that be? Papadopoulos never accepted any Russian help from these FBI informants. The IG Report confirms the fact that the Steele Dossier was the evidence used to defraud the FISA court to get a warrant. This 35 page dossier was paid for by the Democrat National Committee and the Hillary Clinton Campaign. It’s full of lies about Trump. Pathetic!
